HDS Hub – High-performing, agile business application platform

Hamilton Decision Solutions are hosted and run on a common cloud application platform. All Hamilton Decision Solutions provide a reduction in processing time, a significant reduction in costs by streamlining processes, strict control over operations through traceability, full transparency of data and statistical monitoring and accurate analytics.

What makes Hamilton Decision Solutions unique is that unlike other standardized, cloud based applications each of our solutions is designed to be easily customized without extra lengthy development time.

Based on open source technologies, the HDS Application Hub is formed by the assembly of various functional modules. All applications are available from one common customer portal with 70% of code being shared across all apps. 1) Customized web portal

Our portal provides online access to all applications available on the HDS Business Application Hub. For customers using multiple applications they need just this one access point. No software installation is necessary and all major browsers and operating environments are supported.
Access to applications can be customized by individual. This can include access levels, but also customizations such as language and other regional information.

2) Customizable Application screens

One of the key differences to HDS applications is that all levels of the user interface can be customized for company needs. Everything is parameter based from the color of the screen, to the data that is included. It is not necessary for all users to have one standard interface, but this can be customized by department or region. From the application interface users can access request forms, personal tasks and approvals, historical information, process status reports etc.

3) The Workflow Engine also highly customizable

Workflow is an essential part of applications available on the HDS application Hub. The platform uses a powerful Java BPM engine developed by HDS. The main features are geared towards three objectives: flexibility, multi-tenancy, and traceability. All allowing customers to save time and money and meet compliance requirements. 4) The electronic archive

The HDS Application Hub also includes an electronic archive for document storage. The archive is interfaced with the workflow engine and the database. Within each application the archiving and indexing of documents, process histories and all other data relevant to the workflow is automated. An option exists on the platform to include electronic signatures with specific documents such as contracts or invoices.

5) The database

All application data is stored on the HDS Application Hub in an Oracle database. This is a clustered database and offers high availability and reliability.

6) Third party integration

The structure of the HDS application hub was designed to easily integrate third party applications. Customers currently are using applications that have been integrated with ERPs such as SAP or external service providers such as BPO providers, American Express, Carlson Wagonlit or other service vendors.

7) Dashboards and reporting for full traceability

With increasing compliancy and reporting requirements it’s important to have high flexibility in reporting options. All steps of a workflow are traced and can be subject to a specific report. Customizing reports is also parameter based, as with application screens, and easy to do. This also means that future modifications or additional reports are simple to add without extra development. The format and content of these reports is defined with the customer in the project phase.

These automated reports can be produced for internal or external administrative authorities and certifying bodies, requiring that copies of all necessary supporting documents be submitted quickly. Different reports can be generated for regional requirements
